Olympic Cycling comes to town!

Plan for next weekend for our Leatherhead area customers:

Visit us & browse our superb stock, grab a drink, have a pootle along to our local "The Bear" Pub in Oxshott for a (non alcoholic) drink and a bite to eat- and watch the Olympic cyclists race around!

This also means some road closures- here's the deal:

The Road Race Cycling events pass through Leatherhead next weekend (28th & 29th) and that means road closures and accessibility issues for our store.

Here is a map – the race passes through Leatherhead from around 14.40pm reaching the top of the hill north of the M25 at around 3pm – at the bear shortly after 3pm, or earlier if they break records this Olympics(!):

Olympic cycling route

Details:

-    Store is open as normal both days over the weekend
-    It can only be accessed from the north i.e. from the M25/A243
-    The race itself passes through Leatherhead between 2.40pm and 3pm both days

Why not make use of our late opening on Thursdays (to 8PM) if you want to avoid the Road Closures over the weekend?

As we mentioned earlier our local pub “The Bear” is on the cycle route and has a special event to enjoy the race – perhaps worth a visit to us and them!
