Now smaller, lighter, sexier the GoPro Hero 3 is 25% thinner and lighter than the previous camera model (HD Hero 2). GoPro has always been the market leader, but the Hero 3 puts GoPro in a league of its own!

And it is astounding value for money: Video capture in 1080p, 960p and 720p modes gives up to full HD quality footage. The frame rates are adjustable on the camera from 30 frames per second right up to 60 fps at 720p for crisp playback and editing into slow motion later. The camera shoots still images with 5 megapixel quality and you can take up to 3 photos per second for action sequences. The Hero3 camera also has built-in WiFi: Connect a WiFi remote control (not included) from up to 600 feet away or link your GoPro camera to the GoPro 'app' on your smartphone or tablet. The app allows you to control the camera, play back your recordings and share you content.

The hard plastic casing is totally waterproof and keeps the camera dry even during a heavy rain. The 8GB memory card provides about two hours of continuous filming and the footage is easy to download to the PC via USB cable. The same USB cable is used to recharge the battery which, when fully charged, will last for about 3-4 hours. The camera provides phenomenal image quality and can be set to take moving images as well as still photo images. The still photo images can be taken at set intervals according to the individual preferences.
