What We Use: Held motorcycle covers

Remember the lock and chain securing our Quad yesterday? The very same Quad is covered with an XXL Held cover, designed for Quads. Held also make motorcycle covers in all shapes and sizes, many of which achieve the RiDE 'Best Buy' Badge. 

I need the Quad to be protected from the elements. I've had it for three months now and it's been hammered by rain, sun, wind, sleet- and the Quad has been bone dry every time I've uncovered it. 

As you can see from the pic below I use a little extra rope to weigh it down. It's vented to stop 'billowing' - but I like to be on the safe side as standing 10 feet behind it is a horse- horses don't tend to like things that flap about..

Tried and tested: Oxford Hardcore High Security Chain and Padlock

The lads at RiDE magazine like this chain very much,  but I figured I'd made the right choice even before I'd got it out of the box- very heavyweight- literally! Closer examination left me more than impressed with the padlock and chain. Very happy with it. easy to use, feels and looks very substantial and is Thatcham approved. It was also very good value too- Prices start at £74.99 but mine is the longest chain- 2 metres in length and a hefty padlock for £94.99.
