What We Wear: Kevlar Jeans that feel like normal jeans

The Held 'Crackerjack' Kevlar Jeans I'm wearing RIGHT NOW I like very much. There is no Kevlar matting on the 'key areas'- which can often make the jeans hotter in summer. So, where is the Kevlar?

Here's the genius part: The Kevlar is WOVEN into the fabric- so the jeans are 45% Kevlar, 55% cotton. You can see below when they are turned inside out the denim has a faint yellowy / greeny tinge- that's the Kevlar! (See below)

What this means to me (and you) is that the jeans feel lighter, are not as hot in summer, behave like ordinary jeans and perhaps most importantly protect everywhere- not just where the patches are. The jeans are £219.99 - not the cheapest but worth every penny if you want Kevlar jeans that look good, behave like regular jeans and offer abrasion protection everywhere.

I've added hip protectors to mine as well, D30 again, they fit into little pockets on your hips (as you'd expect for hip protectors!)

Held Crackerjack Kevlar Motorcycle Jeans

D30 is great stuff- you might have seen it on Dragons Den a few years back. It acts like hard AND soft protectors so you get the best of both worlds. Upon impact the D30 goes HARD in a split second- spreading the impact load. Then it returns to its pliable state- absorbing the now 'watered down' impact- if you get what I mean.

What are they like to wear for a long time? I've been wearing these today for six hours, on the bike and piloting this desk. They are very comfy indeed. Could quite easy ride to a restaurant in them and then wear them for the evening- everyone would think you had nice jeans on. You can't tell they are motorcycle jeans!
