In particular scooters and maxi-scooters where the grips extend out straight from a fairing section make it hard to fit traditional handlebar muffs. If that is your scooter, these muffs are brilliant. Shaped a little like an oversized boxing glove, the neoprene-like material is insulating from the bitter cold. A circular opening fits over the grips and the elasticity of the neoprene keeps the muffs in place. A smaller opening is pulled over the brake and clutch levers. And the indicator switches are accessed using a panel on the inside of the muffs with thinner material to allow your thumbs easy control while riding. While the manufacturers say these are for any motorbike or scooter (and they are correct in this), we brought them in in particular for scooters and maxi-scooters where the cockpit and grips do not allow the easy fitting of traditional motorbike handlebar muffs.
If you are considering these for your motorcycle: All the benefits stand and the design means that you are not forced to pull a section of the muffs over the indicator switch housing and the oil reservoir. For motorbikes with grip ends fitted, the muffs are delivered with 2 washers that can be used to secure the muff to the side of the grips, using the grip end bolts; see page two of the fitting instructions
