The list of features is endless and the fresh ideas Drift have invented, makes this self-contained helmet camera one of the most advanced cameras on the market. New additions include 1080p at 60fps video - Double the frame-rate for our sharpest image quality yet. Relive your adventures in rich, vibrant HD. The + Sony CMOS Sensor, a 12MP sensor produces excellent low-light capability with dynamically adjusting shutter ideal for shooting videos in all light conditions, as well as a Scene mode which means you can shoot in normal, vivid or low-light environments.
The built in 2" LCD is scratchproof as it is covered in Gorilla Glass - the same glass your iPhone and iPad use. That means you can instantly view back videos and photos, set-up your shot so you video or photograph exactly what you want and you can make use of all the features easily.
Next, the simple, beautifully crafted interface means that if you do decide to delete a photo, it won't take you an age to work out how! It's easy to navigate, quick to set-up and best of all means that you can use all of the other cool features! New on the Ghost-S version is the time-lapse mode, and a hands off mode setting which automatically turns the camera on when power is supplied via the USB port.
The camera then records footage in a continuous loop style (CAR DVR Intervals) recording loop after loop until it fills the Micro SD Card. Once full, the oldest loops will be deleted to make way for the newer footage. Users can select to keep the normal compression used by the H.264 codec, or if they prefer, allow a higher flow of data up to 35Mbps for preserving more of the original recording. There is also a clone mode network which allows up to 5 cameras to be connected to each other via Wi-Fi and are then able to see and communicate with each other allowing synchronous recording and mode changing.
A stand out feature of this camera isn't the Wi-Fi connection, it's what you can use the Wi-Fi connection for! The Wi-Fi means you can either use your phone or the remote (included) to control the camera!
Want to use your phone? Easy, just download the app: Drift Mobile App and start playing! You can change camera settings, take videos and photos, line up a shot, playback your shots and even download camera photos onto your phone for instant sharing!
How about the remote? Simple, different LED colours on the remote that straps around your wrist means you're using different functions. The camera uses the same coloured LEDs, so gone are the days of those lovely up nose shots and the "am I recording?" issue. Green means video, yellow means photo, purple is time lapse and blue is photo burst. It also means you can control the camera from up to 10metres away, so there's no need to hesitantly ask a stranger who looks like they will understand you and won't run off with your camera to take a photo!
For you photo enthusiasts...here's the stats: capable of 11, 8 and 5MP still photos and crisp HD video resolutions of 1080p, 960p, 720p and WVGA. The 960p resolution is new to Drift and is shot in full screen (4:3) aspect ratio. Photo bursts can be taken in 1,2 and 5 seconds with a burst rate of 5 or 10 images a second, that's a lot of photos!
Want to know something even cooler? Whilst you are videoing you can take still photo without interrupting the video, awesome!
Other features include: waterproof for up to 3m as standard (and up to 60 metres with additional case) and a 300 degrees rotating lens so you can straighten up your shot before you hit record. You can also mount the camera to most tripods so that means you haven't got to buy more gear! Not forgetting "Drift Flashback", a clever invention that means up to five minutes after you have taken a video you can "tag" the clips you want to keep - essentially, you can edit out all the bad shots before you press save, so that you free up your memory constantly!

• For best results, we recommend you use the waterproof case when there is a chance your camera may be submersed in water. That said, the Drift HD Ghost & Ghost-S cameras are engineered to withstand dust, snow, rain, splashes & submersion up to 3m for 30 minutes at a time. Below are our recommendations to ensure you get the most out of your camera when using it in or around water:
• Clean off any salt water or dirt from the camera immediately & prior to storing
• Avoid opening the Back Hatch in damp or humid conditions
• Do not subject the camera to a sudden impact of water _ the camera should always be used in the waterproof case when in intensive water-based applications
• Do not leave the camera submerged for longer than 30 minutes
• Operating the camera at temperatures below 0C reduces battery life & lowers battery performance on the long term
• Do not charge the battery at temperatures below 0C, or when the camera is still wet
• We recommend users to store the camera for a minimum of 6-12 hours with the back hatch open & no battery installed, before or after use, to avoid condensation
• Always use the universal clip as a rear hatch key to ensure the camera is sealed tightly & guarantee full water proofing
• The camera is only 3m waterproof when the Standard rear hatch is used & fitted properly.
